Samuel Asamoah Boateng, RN
Samuel Asamoah Boateng is a highly experienced Registered Nurse, clinical educator, and leader with over a decade of nursing practice across Ghana and the United States. He currently serves as a Clinician (Assistant Nurse Manager) on a Cardiothoracic/Bariatric Medical-Surgical Telemetry Unit at UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pennsylvania, where he combines clinical leadership with bedside practice. He provides specialised post-operative care to patients recovering from open-heart surgeries, vascular procedures, gastric bypass, renal transplants, and hepatobiliary operations. His expertise spans medical-surgical nursing, evidence-based palliative care, and academic instruction. He is the founder of AsaClex Review, a dedicated NCLEX tutoring service where he prepares student nurses for success using proven teaching strategies, up-to-date content, and focused exam coaching. His students benefit from his clinical precision, real-world insight, and passion for helping nurses build confidence and clinical reasoning. Samuel holds licensure in both New York and Pennsylvania and is currently pursuing a PhD in Palliative Care from Lancaster University (UK) and an MSN in Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner studies at Post University (USA). He is a certified Clinical Nurse Specialist in Palliative Care and a member of the Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives. He also holds membership with the International Association of Hospice and Palliative Care. His research interests focus on quality of life, particularly in the context of serious illness and end-of-life care.
